SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the food industry, namely to a nutritional composition and its use. The proposed nutritional composition contains 3’-sialillactose (3’-SL) and 6’-sialillactose (6’-SL) in the weight ratio from 10:1 to 1:10 for improving learning skills and memory function in a subject by increasing the concentration of sialic acid (Neu5Ac) in the brain of the specified subject. In this case, 3’-sialillactose (3’-SL) and 6’-sialillactose (6’-SL) are present in the amount from 50 mg to 2,500 mg of the total sialillactose per liter of the nutritional composition. Options of the use of the specified nutritional composition, options of a method for improving learning skills and memory function in a subject, and a method for improving functions of perception, motor control, self-perception, cognitive functions and experience of interpersonal relations of the subject are also proposed, wherein the specified method includes the injection of the above-mentioned nutritional composition to the specified subject.
