SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nutritional compositions for infants or young children. The nutritional composition for infants or young children contains at least one fucosylated oligosaccharide and is used to improve pancreatic development and/or pancreatic maturation in infants or young children. These infants or young children represent a subject in need and/or a subject at risk of insufficient development of the pancreas, and/or born prematurely, and/or suffering from intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR), and/or with low birth weight (LBW), very low birth weight (VLBW) or extremely low birth weight (ELBW).
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the development and/or maturation of the pancreas in infants or young children, as well as improve the biosynthesis of insulin, and ensure the prevention of metabolic disorders in the above-mentioned infants or young children.
