FIELD: baby food.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nutritional compositions containing specific oligosaccharides of breast milk. Proposed is the use of an artificial nutrient composition containing at least one sialylated oligosaccharide selected from 3’-sialyllactose (3’-SL), 6’-sialyllactose (6’-SL) and their mixture in a total amount of 0.1 to 10% by weight of the nutritional composition in reducing and /or controlling food intake in an infant or young child. It is also proposed to use this artificial nutritional composition to increase the sensitivity to saturation in an infant or young child.
EFFECT: easily doable, the nutritional compositions have an affordable cost, while reduction in food consumption is achieved without the classic pharmaceutical intervention, which is not safe for infants.
