SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for infants and young children. A composition containing 6'-sialillactose (6'SL) and lacto-N-tetraose (LNT) is used for reduction in nociception in an infant or a young child. At the same time, the composition, in particular, is useful for reduction in stomach pain, for example pain related to infantile colic, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and/or recurrent abdominal pain (RAP), and, consequently, also contributes to reduction in crying periods and improvement of sleep quality and life quality in general in infants and young children.
EFFECT: invention allows for reduction in pain perception in infants and young children.
