TARGET STATION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G21G1/10

Abstract RU 2770241 C1

FIELD: medical technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technique used to produce radioisotopes on high-intensity proton beams, and can be used to produce targeted medical isotopes 82Sr and 68Ge. The target station is designed for the production of isotopes in high-intensity proton beams and consists of a combined housing and a target. The lower part of the housing is made of aluminum and is located on the lower floor in the area of the proton accelerator. The upper part of the housing is made of stainless steel and is located on the upper floor of the working area of the hot chamber. The upper and lower parts are separated by a combined protection of layers of steel and concrete floors between floors. A transport system with a movable carriage is installed inside the case, to which a target camera is attached. The housing of the target station is filled with a coolant and has an inlet and outlet connected to a circulation pump. The target chamber contains at least two targets.

EFFECT: ensuring the operation of medical isotopes at a beam current of up to 375 µA.
