FIELD: vehicle testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle testing. The method for reproducing on the drums of the stand a dynamic impact on the vehicle, equivalent in terms of the level of impact from a random profile of the test roads, consists in moving the vehicle along irregularities of different profiles installed on the surface of the rotating drums, followed by a change in the frequency of their rotation and successive excitation of the resonant frequencies of the vehicle. Two biharmonic irregularities are installed on the surface of each drum. Irregularities consist of main and short irregularities of different lengths and amplitudes combined with each other, causing both low- and high-frequency resonances at a fixed speed of the drums, respectively, sprung and unsprung masses of the vehicle. Short irregularities are set to the main ones in such a way that their middle line with amplitude coincides with the generatrix of the main irregularity, and their number is determined by the ratio of resonant frequencies. The length of the main roughness is determined from the average on the road with a random microprofile. The amplitudes of both types of bumps are determined in terms of the maximum accelerations of the sprung mass on the road at the maximum accelerations of the unsprung mass.
EFFECT: provision on the drums of the stand of dynamic impact on the vehicle from a random profile of the test road and forcing the testing process.
