FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing of multipurpose vehicles (MV) and protected vehicles (PV). Method of road tests for reliability of MV and PV in extreme road conditions consists in movement of vehicles along support surface in driving mode, defined by profile of test roads with artificial structures, at which the main MV and PV units are loaded with limiting values of amplitudes and their frequencies, created by various forms of mechanical action: cyclic alternating loading for bearing systems, forced loading of engine and transmission units with positive and negative torque from engine and resistance to road movement in half-cycles of acceleration and deceleration, normalized impact of unpaved roads with limit values of road categories. Car tests are carried out in cycles, successively using each form of action in a given volume, and evaluation of reliability is carried out by the value of mileage to 1st failure at probability of failure-free operation of vehicles equal to 0.95.
EFFECT: acceleration, forcing and reduction of run of MV and PV under conditions of extreme loads of their units, assemblies and systems from various forms of external action in conditions of their intended use.
