SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a composition capable of forming an aerosol, a method for its manufacture, a container containing this composition, as well as a device containing this composition. The composition capable of forming an aerosol contains: (i) water in an amount of at least 30 wt. %, relative to the mass of the composition capable of forming an aerosol, (ii) nicotine in an amount of no more than 6 wt. %, relative to the mass of the composition capable of forming an aerosol, (iii) at least one acid, (iv) one or more flavoring substances, (v) one or more encapsulating materials, wherein the encapsulating material preferably encapsulates at least one of the specified one or more flavoring substances, and not protonated nicotine; moreover, the molar ratio of (a) encapsulating material encapsulating one or more flavoring substances to (b) non-encapsulated flavoring substances is at least 1.1 times higher than the molar ratio of (c) encapsulating material encapsulating nicotine to (d) non-encapsulated nicotine.
