FIELD: smoking devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a gel and a crystalline powder used to produce a solution used in an aerosol providing apparatus. Gel contains water in an amount from 1 to 20 wt.% relative to the mass of the gel, nicotine and a water-soluble acid, wherein the molar ratio of acid to nicotine is from 3:1 to 1:3. Also proposed is a crystalline powder containing water in an amount less than 15 wt.% relative to the mass of the crystalline powder, nicotine, a water-soluble acid, one or multiple flavouring substances, and an encapsulating material.
EFFECT: production of a gel, dissolving easily without heating, allows avoiding loss of volatile nicotine and/or flavouring substance in electronic cigarettes, and easily dehydrated resulting in a crystalline powder for producing an aerosolising liquid in electronic cigarettes.
