FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to nanotechnology and the production of antibacterial materials with desired properties. The method for increasing the amount and antibacterial activity of silver nanoparticles on silk suture material is characterized by the fact that silk is used as the initial fibers, which is immersed in a gel with silver nanoparticles obtained by cavitation-diffusion photochemical reduction of silver ions, after which the treated fibers are removed and subjected to 10-fold cyclic freezing, and each of its cycles consists in successive alternation of temperature from -30.0°C to -40.0°C for 20-30 hours and a temperature of 0.0°C in over the same length of time.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of obtaining suture material from silk with a high content of silver nanoparticles and increased antimicrobial activity using biologically compatible and non-aggressive materials, which is promising for use in veterinary medicine and medicine, including cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery and ophthalmology, where the use of silk fibers, processed according to the developed method, seems to be especially in demand.
