SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a spring unit (1, 1a, 12, 13, 17, 18) usable, e.g., in bed mattresses, chairs or sofas. The spring unit (1, 1a, 12, 13, 17, 18) comprises springs located in the inner pocket (3). Pockets (3) are placed in several rows arranged (3) side by side. The spring unit (1, 1a, 12, 13, 17, 18) is retained in a compressed state by means of at least one cord (5). At least one cord (5) is made in the form of a braid (6) at the opposite external ends (7) of each row of pockets (3). At least one cord (4) then forms a row of loops (8) on at least one side of each row of pockets (3). By pulling one free end (10) of at least one cord (5), the braid (6) and the loops (8) can be undone, returning the spring unit (1) to the unpressed state.
EFFECT: creation of a spring unit for use in furniture.
