METHOD FOR INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF TISSUE AND CYTOLOGICAL MATERIAL DURING VACUUM ASPIRATION BIOPSY Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B10/02

Abstract RU 2770783 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely surgery and endocrinology, and can be used to increase the amount of tissue and cytological material during vacuum fine needle aspiration biopsy (v - FNAB). Previously, a sterile elastic tube from a standard system for intravenous administration is inserted into the syringe, rolled up in a loop with a tight fixation of the distal part of the tube in the cannula of the syringe, with a freely located proximal part of the tube inside the syringe. The syringe is prepared for use, the needle is inserted into the biopsy and v - FNAB zone. Then, after the end of the biopsy, the tube is straightened and its distal part is fixed in the cannula of the syringe. Next, a second syringe is attached to the proximal part of the tube and the contents inside the tube are evacuated onto a glass slide, followed by the preparation of a cytological preparation for medical analysis.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the amount of tissue and cytological material during the v - TAB due to the possibility keeping cytological material inside the tube, which prevents the spread of cytological material inside the syringe and impregnation of the delimiting tissue membrane.
