SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology The modulo q subtractor is designed to process binary numbers specified by binary signals, and can be used in digital computing systems as a means of arithmetic processing of discrete information. The modulo q subtractor contains two elements EXCLUSIVE OR (11, 12), two elements AND (21, 22), two elements NOT (31, 32) and two majority elements (41, 42). Due to these elements, the operation (A-B) mod q is implemented for q=2 or for q=3, where A, B (0≤A<q, 0≤B<q) are (log2(2×q-2))-bit binary numbers.
EFFECT: expansion of functionality by providing the implementation of the operation (A-B)mod q at q-2 or at q=3, where A, B (0≤A<q, 0≤B<q) are (log2(2×q-2))-bit binary numbers specified by binary signals.
