FIELD: waste treatment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for processing organic waste generated during mechanical and biological wastewater treatment. The method for aerobic mineralization of secondary waste from sewage treatment plants in an aerobic stabilizer using the oxidative action of reactive oxygen intermediates (ROI) includes the preliminary adaptation of activated sludge microorganisms to oxidative action; filling the aerobic stabilizer with mineralized secondary waste and microorganisms previously adapted to oxidative action; continuous or periodic introduction of the ROI agent in advance into the aerobic stabilizer. The ROI agent is applied in doses of 0.1-100 mg/l per day in terms of an equivalent amount of hydrogen peroxide with simultaneous illumination of secondary waste with light with a wavelength of 400-600 nm and an energy irradiation intensity of 0.2–200 mW/l and aeration of the contents by air injection for 10-72 hours.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of biological mineralization of pollutants and secondary waste from sewage treatment plants is provided with a simultaneous increase in the rate and degree of mineralization, a reduction in the cost of cleaning secondary waste, a reduction in their hazard class.
