FIELD: engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus with a rotating tube for cooling or heating flowing bulk materials and a method for controlling the operation of the apparatus with a rotating tube. The apparatus comprises structures installed on the walls thereof to increase the surface area of heat transfer, as well as heat conductivity, with multiple sections, located on the radial and peripheral walls whereof are hollow tubes, also located in the angular areas between the radial walls, and between the radial walls on one side and the peripheral wall on the other side. Also disclosed is a method for controlling the operation of the apparatus with a rotating tube.
EFFECT: cooling or heating of flowing bulk materials is optimised and the degree of wear of the components of the apparatus is reduced.
