FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to research spherical fuel reactors. Reactor can be used for electric power generation, production of hydrogen, heating, coal liquefaction and gasification. Reactor has a filling of ball fuel elements. Nuclear fuel together with coolant are placed inside solid spherical elements, solid coolant serves as cover for radiation decay products and performs function of cooling nuclear fuel. By means of mechanical transfer system spherical elements are moved from lower part of steam generator into upper part of reaction vessel. Spherical elements are circulated between reactor and steam generator.
EFFECT: reactor has integral safety, high temperature parameters at outlet.
