ELECTROSTIMULATION METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ELECTROSTIMULATION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61N1/04 A61N1/36 A61N1/18

Abstract RU 2771207 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to a method for electrostimulation of muscle groups responsible for performing movements during movement, a method for electrostimulation of muscle groups responsible for performing movement during electrophysiological training aimed at athletic training of a patient or an athlete, and a device for electrostimulation of a muscle group. When performing the method, a corresponding electrostimulation channel is attached to each of muscles of a muscle group selected from muscle groups responsible for performing a corresponding movement. At the same time, each electrostimulation channel is made with the possibility of sequential transmission of bipolar electrical pulses to corresponding muscles. Each channel that stimulates a muscle group corresponds to a symmetrical channel that stimulates antagonist muscle groups. For all electrostimulation channels, the same cycle time is determined, which determines the repeated stimulation period. During the mentioned stimulation period, each channel performs its own stimulation sequence. Each stimulation period is divided into two half-periods of the same duration. Each half-period is divided into subintervals of the same duration. In this case, at least one of the specified subintervals is a stimulation subinterval, in which a basic pulse sequence containing at least one pulse packet is performed. Each pulse packet is set by a predetermined sequence of individual bipolar electrical pulses. Each stimulation period of each channel has a half-period without basic pulse sequences and another half-period with at least one stimulation subinterval. The device contains an electrostimulation channel, a power board, a storage facility, and an electronic control unit. The electrostimulation channel is equipped with a corresponding electrode. The power board is suitable for generating electrical pulse sequences. The electrostimulation program is stored in the storage facility. The electronic control unit is suitable for controlling power boards in accordance with the electrostimulation program.

EFFECT: due to the fact that each channel stimulating a muscle group corresponds to a symmetrical channel stimulating an antagonist muscle group, muscle stimulation synchronized with movement is provided, while the device and the method allow coordinating the performance of motor action together with the activation of movement control centers of the cerebral cortex, providing activation of necessary biochemical processes of neurotransmission and centralized optimization of movement control.
