METHOD OF INVASIVE ELECTRIC STIMULATION OF SPINAL CORD BY MODULATED ELECTRIC PULSES Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61N1/32

Abstract RU 2618206 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: multicontact electrodes are set invasively in a line along the spinal column. Parameters of electrical pulses are selected individually for each patient. The parameters of electrical pulses are set using the software of electrical pulses source. The electric current is supplied from the electrical pulses source to the electrode contacts sequentially, smoothly switching the electric current from one pair of contacts to the next one and changing the contact polarity, so that the electric pulse flows smoothly from the proximal end of the electrode to the distal end and flows sequentially and smoothly at first along one electrode in the line, then along the next electrode according to the specified cycle.

EFFECT: method enables to increase treatment efficiency, which is achieved due to spinal cord exposure to sequence of wavelike electrical pulses in the form of a wave, which moves along the spinal cord.
