FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ENT surgery, and can be used to select surgical access to the maxillary sinuses when planning surgery. Computed tomography of the paranasal sinuses is performed, while the obtained research data in DICOM format is uploaded to the Autoplan system. Then a three-dimensional polygonal model of the maxillary sinuses is built, taking into account anatomical landmarks. The greatest width, height and depth of the sinus cavities are identified, their volume is calculated. Based on the data obtained, the method for surgical access to the maxillary sinus is determined.

EFFECT: method provides the least traumatic surgical intervention due to an accurate assessment of the volumes, basic geometric characteristics and spatial orientation of the maxillary sinuses, taking into account the personalized characteristics of the patient.
