FIELD: medicine; otorhinolaryngology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the effectiveness of surgical treatment of children with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). Data is collected before the planned functional endoscopic rhinosinusurgery, and preoperative blood values are analyzed in children without exacerbation of the disease and in the absence of manifested systemic inflammation. When collecting data, the content of the relative amount of eosinophils in the blood is determined, which is supplemented with the zinc concentration in the whole blood. If zinc concentration in whole blood is more than 5.09 mcg/ml and relative number of eosinophils is less than 2%, high efficiency of surgical treatment of children with chronic rhinosinusitis is predicted. If the whole blood zinc concentration is less than 5.09 mcg/ml and the relative eosinophil count is more than 2%, a low efficiency of the surgical treatment of children with chronic rhinosinusitis is predicted.
EFFECT: invention provides higher accuracy of prediction of clinical effectiveness in CRS without nasal polyps in children without exacerbation and in the absence of pronounced systemic inflammation by assessing the patient's blood values.
