FIELD: carbon chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of carbon chemistry, in particular to products based on coal tar pitch - residues from the distillation of resins or tar. A carbon sulphoadduct is proposed, which is a fraction of the product of the interaction of milled coal tar pitch with sulfuric acid, followed by washing off unreacted sulfuric acid with water and drying, according to the invention, in the first cycle of production, a catalyst in the form of astralenes in the amount of 1 wt. % is introduced into ground coal tar pitch before interaction with sulfuric acid, after which it is poured with sulfuric acid and kept for four hours with heating to a temperature of 80°C with constant stirring, and then three additional cycles are carried out sequentially with the resulting product, with conditions identical to the first cycle (the catalyst in the form of astralenes is introduced in an amount of 1 wt.% from obtained in the previous cycle of the product).
EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to achieve an improvement in the consumer properties of the product and, on this basis, to expand the arsenal of technical means that can be used to obtain carbon sulfoadduct with improved consumer characteristics.
