FIELD: textiles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of textile industry and pertains to fabrics developed from yarn or threads consisting of 100% polyester fibres. In particular, the invention can be used for polyester upholstery fabrics. Described is an adhesive composition for treating polyester fabrics, containing polyvinyl acetate dispersion DF51/15C: homopolymer, coarsely dispersed, polyvinyl acetate dispersion plasticised with dibutylphthalate, stabilised with polyvinyl alcohol, and a fire-retardant composition consisting of the components of 125 wt. pts. polyammonium phosphate, 5.0 wt. pts. urea and 3.0 wt. pts. 2-chloroethanol with the following ratio of components, wt. pts. : polyvinyl acetate dispersion DF51/15C 100, fire-retardant composition 5 to 15.
EFFECT: increase in the resistance of the threads to shedding and spreading in polyester fabrics, elimination of puncture holes when sewing with the preserved softness of polyester fabrics, simplified preparation of the composition and availability of the ingredients thereof, simplified technological process of sewing treatment of materials.
