SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology, in particular, to the technology for growing the edible mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus (oyster mushroom). The method for producing seed mycelium of the P. ostreatus mushroom (stock culture mycelium) includes preparing said mycelyum on a solid substrate sterilised by autoclaving. Fresh brewers' spent grain in an amount of 10% wt. relative to the mass of substrate is added to the substrate based on straw and saw dust in a 2:1 ratio, followed by autoclaving at 1.4 atm. for 60 minutes.
EFFECT: addition of beer production waste increases the accumulation of mycelial biomass, reduces the time of cultivation of seed mycelium and improves the quality thereof, presence of saw dust in the substrate can reduce the adaptation period in further inoculation of logs and stumps of various types of wood with the mycelium.
