FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for laser cladding and a method for producing an article by laser cladding, in particular, for Extreme High-Speed Laser Cladding (EHLA). The apparatus comprises at least three drive columns (2), a holder (1) for the workpiece of the manufactured product, located centrally between the drive columns (2.1, 2.2, 2.3), and a welding head (22). The holder (1) for the workpiece, by means of multiple push-pull rods (15) and rotary joints (3, 4) formed at the ends thereof, is connected with the drive columns (2.1, 2.2, 2.3) so as to be able to move in three spatial directions (x, y, z). Each drive column (2.1, 2.2, 2.3) has at least one internal guide bar (5) facing the holder (1) for the workpiece, with an internal slider (6) moved along the bar in order to move the holder (1) for the workpiece in three spatial directions (x, y, z). Each drive column (2.1, 2.2, 2.3) has at least one external guide bar (8) with an external slider (11) passed along the bar in order to move a counterweight (9) in the vertical direction opposite to the internal slider (6). The welding head (22) is retained by the support plate (20).
EFFECT: possibility of achieving high speeds of cladding up to 500 m/min with high precision of the trajectory of relative movement of the welding head and the article.
