FIELD: radar technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radar, is aimed to measure the polarization characteristics of sea waves in the X-band and can be used in other frequency ranges from S to Ka in short-range radar. In the claimed method for simultaneous full-polarization Doppler measurements in the microwave range, two time FM signals orthogonal in polarization are simultaneously emitted, reflected signals are received, highlighting the beats of the received first and second orthogonal signals on V and H polarization with their reference signal, separating the reflected signals by polarization. By using FFT, the intensity of the reflected signals, the range and the Doppler spectrum are determined, while the separation of the components of the received reflected signal with different polarization is carried out by using an insignificant shift in the carrier frequency of two orthogonal polarization of the emitted signals with the same time form of their frequency modulation.
EFFECT: increase the efficiency of radar Doppler measurements simultaneously at all polarizations.
