FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing equipment. The installation for testing materials for abrasive wear contains a shock mechanism, a shock mechanism control system, a heat-insulated chamber, a dispenser for feeding abrasive, a scraper mechanism, a shaft rotation drive. The mechanism includes a striker and weights. The control system consists of a solenoid mounted on a vertical plate with the ability to move up or down the guides using rack and pinion. The rack and pinion is driven by a stepper motor through a transmission mechanism. The scraper mechanism is located above the table and consists of a shaft and blades and brushes fixed on it. The blades are used to move the abrasive supplied from the dispenser hopper to the test sample. The brushes are designed to remove the used abrasive after being hit by a counter-sample on the sample. The shaft rotation drive consists of a gear motor and a bevel gear. The heat-insulated chamber is made with the possibility of installing the test sample in the center of it and is attached to the underside of the table in such a way that the wear surface of the sample is at the level of the table surface.
EFFECT: it is possible to test materials for impact-abrasive wear with a loose abrasive in conditions from low to elevated temperatures.
