FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to floor technical means of railway transport and is intended for cleaning the side surfaces of wheelsets of rolling stock. The device contains movable spring-loaded beams, equipped with cleaning tires, installed on fixed bases, fixed on the rail-sleeper grid of the track. The beams are located along the running rails on the outer and inner sides of the track. The length of the beams, the elevation of the tires above the level of the rail head and the distance between the tires provide mechanical cleaning of the side surfaces of the wheel pairs of the rolling stock passing through the device due to the mechanical action of the cleaning tires on the side surfaces of the wheel pairs.
EFFECT: increase in the coefficient of friction and ensuring the effectiveness of braking cuts on the hump yards by wagon retarders and the reliability of the barrier and fixing with beam devices, without rolling them out from under the wagon.
