FIELD: compressors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compressors with liquid pistons, designed to compress gas to high pressures using elastic fluids, and can be used in various fields of technology. The compressor contains working chambers 1, 2 of liquid pistons, suction valves and gas discharge valves 5, 6 and 7, 8, as well as a hydraulic pump 11. Valves 5, 6 and 7, 8 are located in the upper parts of chambers 1, 2 and connect chambers 1, 2 with respective gas suction chamber 9 and gas injection chamber 10. The pump 11 is connected to the lower parts of the chambers 1, 2 by means of a distribution unit with the possibility of reciprocating the liquid pistons. Each chamber 1, 2 is made in the form of a curved channel, for which the value of the ratio of the internal hydraulic diameter to the length is not more than 0.01.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving the performance of a compressor with liquid pistons without increasing its overall dimensions.
