FIELD: refrigeration engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to refrigeration engineering, in particular to compression refrigeration units with a non-reversible cycle and their method for operation. A refrigeration unit contains a cooled compressor and a consumer-associated heat exchanger combined into a single closed cooling cycle. Internal cavity of the heat exchanger is connected to the suction chamber of compressor. The compressor discharge chamber is fitted with a compulsory discharge gas distributor and is connected directly to the heat exchanger inner cavity via pipeline. Refrigeration unit operation method requires transferring heat from the consumer to the refrigerant via the heat exchanger, refrigerant vapour indraft into the compressor, compressing the compressor refrigerant with and simultaneously removing the generated heat, expanding the compressed refrigerant and directing the compressed refrigerant to the heat exchanger. The refrigerant expansion is performed by exhausting it through a forced-air discharge gas distribution device and pipeline directly into the heat exchanger internal cavity.

EFFECT: invention provides for increasing the refrigeration unit efficiency.
