SUBSTANCE: group of the invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating infections of the lower urinary tract. Composition for preventing or treating infections of the lower urinary tract, including: a) Vaccinium macrocarpon extract in amounts in the range from 20 wt.% to 50 wt.% as calculated for the total weight of the composition, and b) at least one phospholipid selected from soy lecithin or sunflower lecithin, in amounts in the range from 50 wt.% to 80 wt.% as calculated for the total weight of the composition. Method for producing the composition for preventing or treating infections of the lower urinary tract, including: a) Vaccinium macrocarpon extract in amounts in the range from 20 wt.% to 50 wt.% as calculated for the total weight of the composition, and b) at least one phospholipid selected from soy lecithin or sunflower lecithin, in amounts in the range from 50 wt.% to 80 wt.% as calculated for the total weight of the composition, wherein said method includes solubilising or dispersing the Vaccinium macrocarpon extract, at least one phospholipid and optionally one or more technological adjuvants selected from water-soluble or water-insoluble diluents, lubricant saubstances and/or glidants, and surface-active substances, in an organic solvent at a temperature in the range from 30°C to 90°C, resulting in a solution or dispersion, followed by drying the solution or dispersion, resulting in a solid composition. Solid composition for preventing or treating infections of the lower urinary tract, produced by the above method. Application of the composition for producing pharmaceutical compositions for preventing or treating infections of the lower urinary tract. Solid medicinal product for preventing or treating infections of the lower urinary tract, including the composition mixed with one or multiple pharmaceutically acceptable excipients.
EFFECT: above composition is effective for preventing or treating infections of the lower urinary tract, injection of the above composition to patients leads to a significant increase in certain metabolites produced from proanthocyanidins of Vaccinium macrocarpon and other active components of the extract, such as flavonols, phenolic acids, in the urine, to effective inhibition of adhesion of biofilm formation by various strains of Candida albicans.
