FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of metal-containing molded bodies with open pores having a modified surface. In the method, an open-pore metal-containing molded body is used as a semi-finished product, the surfaces of which are coated with particles of a metal chemical compound, which can be reduced or thermally or chemically decomposed by heat treatment, and which forms particles of the corresponding metal obtained by chemical reduction or thermal or chemical decomposition. After the coating is applied, at least one heat treatment is carried out, in which the formed metal particles are connected by means of sintering necks or sintering bridges with the surface of the semi-finished product and/or with neighboring formed metal particles, so that the specific surface area of the resulting open-pore shaped body increases by at least 5 times compared to the original material of the uncoated metal semi-finished product.
EFFECT: increased specific surface area of metal-containing molded bodies with open pores
