SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of information security of digital communication systems and can be used in distributed computing networks utilising resources of a public communication network as communication lines. The technical result is achieved due to a justified change in the parameters of elements of the communication system, and therefore, the values of the giveaway features thereof, in order to reduce the distinguishing features thereof from elements of the public communication network and elements of corporate networks connected to the same segment of the public communication network as the communication system under protection.

EFFECT: increase in the covertness of the communication system utilising the resources of a public communication network while maintaining the set indicators for the main target purpose of the communication system.
