Method comprises the following steps: describe the structure of the communication network; form a communication system model; imitate service and operational load; set of significant indicators and parameters; measure the values of all indicators; select indicators of the communication system model from a given set; consistently calculate the values of the selected indicator; remember the calculated values of the indicator; calculate the values of the degree of adequacy; the obtained values of the degree of adequacy of the model for the selected indicator are recorded in a table; determine the minimum value of the degree of adequacy of the communication system model for the selected indicator; determine the values of the parameters corresponding to the minimum value of the degree of adequacy; adjust the original intervals of change of parameters; repeat the above steps for the entire set of indicators.

EFFECT: reducing the time to create an adequate model.
