FIELD: fluids flow measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for measuring the flow of fluids. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the flow meter contains a pair of ultrasonic transducers. Each transducer contains a housing, a piezoelectric crystal placed inside the housing, and an array of miniature horns associated with the housing. An array of miniature horns that can be 3D printed contains a holeless shell, a closed cavity within the shell, and a plurality of horns enclosed within the closed shell. The horns comprise a horn base portion adjacent to the near end surface of the cavity and a horn mouth portion which extends from the base portion in the direction away from the piezoelectric crystal towards the far end surface of the cavity. Inside the cavity, the mouth portions of the horns are separated from each other by gaps, and the gaps between the mouth of the horns can be filled with powder.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of creating a manufacturable and reliable ultrasonic transducer, which makes it possible to reliably measure the flow of fluids.
