SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology, namely, to a method for cultivating at least one desired microorganism in a heterotrophic or mixotrophic mode in an aqueous culture medium, with contaminating microorganisms naturally developing in the specified culture medium, and this method is characterized in that it includes a stage of sampling a portion of the culture medium containing the desired microorganism and contaminating microorganisms; the stage of physical separation of the desired microorganism from the contaminating microorganisms in the specified portion of the culture medium; the stage of lysis of physically separated contaminating microorganisms, resulting in lysate; and the stage of introducing lysate back into the culture medium.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the biomass yield of the desired microorganism.
