SUBSTANCE: inventions relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to methods for placing and operating a flexible drive and controlling the rotation of an all-wheel drive vehicle. In the drive, the ends of the flexible shaft are rigidly attached to two wheels of the specified running gear so that the axis of rotation of each end of the flexible shaft coincides with the axis of rotation of the corresponding wheel. The end of the flexible shaft is connected along the axis of rotation of the wheel with the wheel itself. The holder, inside which the flexible shaft is placed, is made in the form of an S-shaped tubular sleeve. The flexible drive of the vehicle is made with a flexible shaft to transfer the rotational force from one wheel to another. All-wheel drive vehicle contains running gear, running gear wheels, vehicle turning control unit and flexible drive with flexible shaft transferring rotation force from one wheel to another, moreover, flexible shaft is located in a fixed holder with possibility of rotation. The modular vehicle contains a running gear formed by joining identical modules into a platform, having wheels of the running gear with a drive for their rotation. The modules are connected side by side. Each module has an arrangement of 2 wheels of the undercarriage in series according to a single-track scheme or 4 wheels according to a two-track scheme.
EFFECT: lightening and simplification of the drive design is achieved.
