SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used to determine concentration of attention and attention switching of the subject. Stimulus material in the form of cards is used, containing at least two groups of stimulus material. The first group therein comprises a first stimulus material in the form of cards in a first colour scheme. The second group comprises at least part of the first stimulus material in the form of cards in a second colour scheme. Cards are selected from the first and second groups of stimulus material. The selected cards are shown. At least one response of the subject is recorded. The correctness of at least one answer of the subject is checked. The time from the beginning of the demonstration of the selected cards until the last response of the subject is recorded. The maximum amount of correct answers, amount of incorrect answers are determined. The concentration of attention and attention switching of the subject are determined based on the ratio of the time from the beginning of the demonstration of the selected cards until the last response of the subject to the difference between the maximum possible amount of correct answers and the amount of incorrect answers.

EFFECT: method provides a possibility of measuring the level of concentration and attention switching, reducing the measurement time with high reliability and validity by expanding the amount of task variants for the same stimulus material, providing original stimulus material in the form of cards, a possibility of changing the colour scheme of the stimulus material when the method is repeated.
