METHOD FOR INVESTIGATING THE SPONTANEOUS INVOLUNTARY ATTENTION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2698863 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to psychology and can be used in pedagogics and ergonomics. A person being test object is presented with a dual image (DI) with the task of passively observing a test object for two minutes and counting the number of spontaneous switching of attention (SSA) during that time, two two-minute tests are carried out with presentation of the same flat-form DI with color of its chromatic colors with alternatively extreme color-perception, wherein central figure is colored by color with higher relative visibility, and peripheral figure is colored by color with less visibility relativity, wherein the subject is tasked to observe and respond to each change in the test object seen during first and repeated testing by pressing the timer button, recording the number of SSA at each presentation of the test object separately, then finding the absolute value of the difference between the fixed amount of SSA at the first and repeated presentation of the test object, obtained difference is interpreted by applying the rule: "the higher the numerical value of the difference, the lower the level of resistance of involuntary attention".

EFFECT: method provides minimization of situational preconditions of low reliability of retrospection of the method of investigating the resistance of involuntary attention by eliminating multifactorial procedural entropy, providing certainty (nonrandomness) with respect to the process of attracting the "image" of perception, its specific retention and targeted orientation of the switching vector from one "image" to the other when observing a flat dual image of the test object.
