FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to functional human diagnostic techniques, and aims at occupational psychophysiological selection of non-assisted slow train drivers. Psychological and psychophysiological tests are conducted. If observing the following combinations of test results: unexpressed character accentuation by the character and temperament accentuation test; traits of non-acute introversion and the absence of extroversion features by the typological personality test; significant general and industrial internality by the subjective personality control test; stable efficiency tolerance ability to preservation of steady working capacity at various time of day by the diurnal performance test; ability to work with varying algorithm by the operator's efficiency in varying algorithm test, and also successful passing of the symbols and logical notions handling test, a non-assisted engine driver is considered to demonstrate an aptitude for the appropriate work.

EFFECT: method allows objectifying the occupational psychophysiological selection of non-assisted engine drivers.
