SUBSTANCE: devices 300a and 300b for automatic inspection of metal plates include a carriage 14 that moves on the surface of a metal plate, a radio navigation transmitter 12b or a radio navigation receiver 12a, an inspection device 15, which includes a flaw detection head 35, including inspection and measurement a sensor that scans the test area of the metal plate 10, and a test result generation unit 71 to generate a test result, and a control unit that performs, based on the position of the carriage 14 measured by the position measurement system, and the target position, which is the position of the carriage 14, controlling the carriage 14 to automatically move to the target position and controlling the flaw detection head 35 for scanning. The test result generation unit 71 generates a test result based on the test information received by the inspection sensor and the position information of the flaw detection head 35.
EFFECT: invention provides a device that is capable of efficiently generating test results even in cases where the flaw detection data contains a huge amount of information.
