METHOD FOR PREOPERATIVE MARKING DURING BREAST AUGMENTATION SURGERY WITH MASTOPEXY Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B8/00 A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2772750 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely plastic surgery. Before marking, elastography is performed at 8 points of the mammary gland, which are selected as follows: the mammary gland is visually divided into 4 quadrants: upper lateral, upper medial, lower medial, lower medial, additionally each quadrant is divided into 2 equal parts. The measurement is carried out at points that are located in the middle of the length of the line connecting the nipple and the outer edge of the mammary gland spot. The density of the fabric at each point is estimated by the percentage of blue, green and red colors, and the average value of the percentage of blue is determined. With an average value from 81 to 100%, the fabric is evaluated as dense. Then, in patients with dense tissue determined by the method for elastography, as shown in dwg 2, when applying the preoperative marking using the Weiss method, the vertical line is shifted from the initial Weiss marking by 1 cm inwards to the midclavicular line from the medial and lateral sides. Lateral and medial vertical lines of the planned resection are concave. This marking is carried out on the left and right mammary glands.

EFFECT: method eliminates excessive tension of dense breast tissue during augmenting mammoplasty with T-shaped mastopexy and avoids marginal necrosis, surgical wound divergence, formation of gross hypertrophic scars and prolonged rehabilitation.
