SUBSTANCE: processing of Arctic birds’ fluffy feathers includes drying of down-feather mass, crushing of natural debris and its removal, separation of fluff from feathers, washing of fluff, its cleaning from mold and drying, while drying of down-feather mass is carried out in a mesh drum of a drying chamber in which air is pumped into a thermally insulated housing through an air supply channel, and the down-feather mass is heated in a rotating drum until it dries completely, natural debris is crushed in the separator drum using blades and metal rods rotating around its axis, then it is removed through the waste disposal pipe of the separator, the fluff is separated from the feathers in the mesh drums of the feather separator using elastic bands and blades with pins rotating in the opposite direction to the rotation of the mesh drums to improve the structure of the down-feather mass.

EFFECT: expansion of the range of solutions for processing birds’ fluff.
