FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method includes pre-preparing raw materials, implementing enzymatic hydrolysis, isolating the final product, drying and grinding. Fermentation is carried out at a feather moisture of 50 to 70% and a temperature of 30-60°C for 4-12 hours. Then the product of the enzymatic hydrolysis is subjected to a high-velocity vortex air flow in the chamber up to the cleavage of the structural elements to form a finely dispersed aerosol with simultaneously separating it into two rotating fractions, the outer fraction having an elevated temperature that ensures the moisture removal from the aerosol. In the device for obtaining feather meal, including a mixer-fermenter, as well as a unit for separating, drying and grinding the final product; the units for separating, drying and grinding the final product are made in the form of a gas dynamic machine, in the chamber of which a high-speed rotor is rotatably mounted.
EFFECT: optimal mode of the down-feather mixture fermentation, excluding high-temperature impact on the product to be processed, as well as the combination of grinding and dehydrating operations, the refusal to use several separate devices used for isolating and processing the finished product, replacing them with one device.
