FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of polyethylene production by radical polymerization in mass at high pressure and can be used in the chemical and petrochemical industries. This method includes the supply of 42 wt. % ethylene to the upper zone of the reactor in the axial direction. 50 wt. % ethylene is fed into the upper zone of the reactor in the radial direction. 8 wt. % ethylene is fed into the lower zone of the reactor in the radial direction. The initiator solutions are supplied to two points of the upper zone of the reactor and to one point of the lower zone of the reactor in such a way that an equal amount of active oxygen is provided in all solutions of organic peroxides or their mixtures supplied to three points of the reactor.
EFFECT: improvement in the rheological properties of the resulting polyethylene, i.e. a decrease in viscosity at zero shear and the dynamic modulus of elasticity of polyethylene, as well as a decrease in the weight percentage of extracted substances in the final product.
