SUBSTANCE: bracket for removable installation of accessories on a firearm rail includes a base with a mounting rail, a stop block movable in the recess of the base, and a thumb lever, which, when activated, allows the springs to move the stop block in the recess, as a result of which the stop block is disconnected from the firearm rail in open configuration. The thumb lever can also move the locking block into a closed configuration in which it locks the bracket on the firearm rail in a fixed position relative to the firearm. The thumb lever may be connected to a threaded shaft that engages with a threaded element, such as a cap nut, associated with a stop block. The toggle stop can selectively engage with a recess in the threaded member to set the total clamping force of the stop block and bracket on the firearm rail.
