FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and can be used in heat engineering studies during the analysis of various damped transient responses: electrical, heat, hydraulic, and pneumatic. The method consists in placing a thermal sensor in media with a higher, and then, with a lower temperature, measuring the value of the output signal of the thermal sensor from the moment of placing in the medium with a lower temperature, and calculating the parameters of damped transient response, constituting the sum of two exponential components, the output signal of the sensor is measured discretely at equal time intervals, the result of measurement is recorded as a time series consisting of the value of the reference time and the value of the reading of the output signal of the sensor, the recorded time series is modified by subtracting the end value of the reading of the signal of the thermal sensor, corresponding to the steady-state process in the medium with a lower temperature, from the value of readings of the signal of the thermal sensor in the medium with a higher temperature, a number of readings are consecutively selected from the modified recorded time series, the first one at the beginning of measurements, the second in the order of half, and the third and fourth readings in the order of ten percent of the value of the first reading, followed by the determining the parameters of damped transient response using the selected readings.
EFFECT: simplification of the procedure of determining the parameters of damped transient response, increase in the accuracy of determining the parameters of damped transient response, self-sustainability of the method for implementing without additional creation of special apparatus.
