FIELD: geological prospecting operations when searching for oil and gas fields. SUBSTANCE: gas geochemical survey is conducted on examined area by analysis of gases sorbed by clay matrix which results are used to bring to light zones of hydrocarbon anomalies, then electric prospecting operations with going out to field by excitation of unsteady electromagnetic field with the aid of electric prospecting plants are conducted on sections of area by profiles within bounds of zones of hydrocarbon anomalies brought to light. In this case times Tpi of transition of measured signal from examined medium through zero and spacings Rn of electric prospecting plants in preset interval Δ of values of specific resistances ρ2 of pool at depth Hi are calculated in advance for each fixed depth Hi of examined section. Later signal of transition process on each of n spacings of electric prospecting plants on times Toi is measured for each depth Hi while moving along profile crossing geochemical anomaly and profile graphs of emf are obtained. and their center parts maximally close to zero are used to judge parameters of pool at depth Hi from surface geochemical anomaly to sought-for deposit. EFFECT: improved authenticity of method. 6 dwg
