FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for increasing the value of substances that are part of dry granular food products and animal feeds, using electrostatic separation. A method for fractionation of the initial mixture containing from 5 to 8% of moisture, protein and at least one of starches, soluble and insoluble fibers includes feeding the initial mixture into a triboelectric separator, where the mixture contains beans, legumes, oilseeds, oilseed flour, fish meal, bone meal or meat and bone meal, simultaneously charging and separating the mixture into at least two sub-fractions, one of which is enriched with one of protein, starch and fibers and has a composition different from the composition of the initial mixture. Fractionation is carried out using a triboelectrostatic belt separator including the first and the second electrodes located on opposite sides of a longitudinal center line and configured to create an electric field between the first and second the electrodes, at least one first roller located at the first end of the separator, at least one second roller located at the second end of the separator, a continuous tape located between the first and the second electrodes and supported by at least one first roller and at least one second roller, a separation zone defined by the continuous tape and between it. The speed of the tape is in the range from 10 to 70 feet per second.
EFFECT: range of separable products is expanded, productivity and separation speed are increased, and tribo-charging is optimized.
