FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of grinding material from vegetal raw materials, particularly plant seeds, for production of flour from shelled grains and/or fractionated flour. Method consists in the fact that material from vegetal raw materials is ground by compressing a layer of material, performing a first air separation of the ground material to obtain a first fine fraction, on one side, and a first coarse fraction, on the other side, first further processing of the first fine fraction is carried out to produce flour separately and the first coarse fraction is returned to the grinding stage. Grinding is carried out by compressing a layer of material, which is applied to the compressed layer of material, wherein the layer thickness ranges from 10 to 100 mm.

EFFECT: method with low power consumption provides high-quality separation into fiber/starch/protein.
