FIELD: containers.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to containers for products that are particularly susceptible to shock or compression damage, specifically to containers for foodstuffs, mainly for cakes, and is aimed at increasing the stability of the packaging container for foodstuffs, in particular when they are stacked, to increase strength, and also to prevent the food product, such as a cake, from shifting during transport. The food packaging container includes a plastic cover 1 in the form of a three-dimensional body having eight dihedral walls 2 connected to the upper flat wall 3, and a plastic pallet 4. The walls of the cover 1 have lower 5 and upper 6 faces, made obliquely into the container. In this case, the lid 1 and the pallet 4 have flanges 7, 8 and are connected by means of a locking connection 9. The upper flat wall is equipped with four U-shaped protrusions 10, which are a continuation of the upper faces and between which there are gaps 11 for passing between them the shell-label (not shown). The tray 4 on the underside has recesses 12 for engagement with the U-shaped protrusions 10 of the upper flat wall of the lid to enable the tray 4 to be fixed on top of the lid 1 of the next package in the stack when stacked. On the inner surface of the pallet 4 there are vertical radial ribs 13, which intersect with the annular stiffener 14 and form peripheral stiffening contours, as well as radial stiffeners 15 located in the central circular recess 16 and directed to the center of the pallet. Spikes 17 are made on the radial stiffening ribs 15 for fixing the confectionery product on the pallet 4.
